Part of the reason I lived with my parents that summer was so that I could be closer to my “girlfriend” who lived in Hayden Lake (of Neo Nazi fame).  I went to visit her a few times, but I was too blind to see that she wasn’t into me at all.

Music Inspired by Bamatick

Every so often, music indelibly stamps itself to my life.  With perfect clarity, whenever I hear a certain song, I am transported through time to the past.  The music that goes with this event is:

Saudade and Haunted (When the Minutes Drag), by Love & Rockets.

My friend had gotten turned on to them, and after listening to this album, I was hooked.

This was actually kind of cool.  There was a Czechoslovakian family that lived in the area and one of them had been an engineer or something in the mother country.  He devised an elaborate system with a water tower, a wood fireplace and an old refrigerator to make a bathtub.  His name was Jerry.

Jerry’s sister found English stupid.  She felt that “shower” should be pronounced “su-how-er.”  She’s right.  English is very difficult to learn.  Her favorite English word?  Asshole.

Given that it was my mother administering the first aid, I have to assume she used some sort of down home treatment.  I imagine it involved a lighter, a needle and some tweezers.  Post “surgery” probably involved her drug of choice, H2O2.
