Masked Man

One night, a man walked into the hotel. He was wearing a Mardi Gras mask on top of his head. His eyes were totally drugged looking. He wanted a room, so I gave him the “I really don’t want to hassle with you price, so I’m going to charge you the max” room rate. He wanted to pay using his mom’s credit card. DANGER WILL ROBINSON! DANGER! I followed the protocol, hell, I’ve been in that very scenario myself. His mom jumps through all the hoops and tells me to ONLY allow him to charge the room, and NOT to give him the number or let him do anything else. Mmm hmm. She knows.

To be continued…..

I worked with a lady who’s previous job was stripper. One day, I asked her what her tattoo was. She showed me. Hiked her skirt up and stuck her ass out. It was a peacock and went from her knee to past her hip.

Music Inspired by Bamatick
I asked my coworker what her favorite music to strip to was and she said Crystal Method. I gave it a listen and sure enough, it makes me want to undulate, gyrate, and thrust all whilst removing all my clothing. You should try it.

I had two guys come in once that were from the Netherlands. Since I speak Dutch, I spoke to them that way. They were very shocked that I spoke Dutch. They were Farmers trying to connect with JR Simplot. They gave me a really cool baseball cap. Over the years working in the hotel, I got a chance to speak many languages: Spanish, French, Dutch, Swahili, Drunk, Italian and Russian. I like to think it made them feel a little more at home.

French Guy

One of my “regulars” was a French national. He was the CEO (the Big Cheese) for the local cheese factory. Since I speak French, I would talk to him that way every time we interacted. He was shocked that anyone in America spoke French, let alone some random guy in the middle of the night in some less than metropolitan place. But, over the years, we got to be friends. I never got any free cheese out of him. Bummer.

Room 208

I had a frequent guest that arrived late and left early. So, I got to interact with him a lot. He always wanted to stay in this one particular room. It had a balcony, just like the room next to it, but he always wanted this specific room number. One day, I asked him why he liked that room. He said that the first time he ever stayed in it, he opened the dresser and found some woman’s bra. The next morning, he had a really great presentation at work and thought it was lucky. He checked for a bra every time, but never found one again.

One day, I printed an ad from Victoria’s Secret and signed it, “Enjoy your stay!-The Management” and stashed it in the dresser of his room before he checked in. It’s the little things.

Aside from this, the guy was cool. He taught Customer Service to car dealerships and passed on this sage advice, “Treat your employees well and they will treat the customers well.”
